I stumbled upon the quote I used in this dreams print not long after I had decided to pursue my dream of being self-employed and running KateOGroup full time.  I’ve never been able to find where this quote originated from but that didn’t stop me from falling in love with it.

Since I’ve recently upgraded from a laptop to a desktop, I’m currently attempting to style my office just how I’d like it.  This quote will be going on one of the walls of my office.

Logo Design: Vee’s Bakeshop

The logo design for Vee’s Bakeshop was a lot of fun to design. Veronica had a vision that was easy to bring to life.  She wanted to keep the color scheme simple and stick with a predominately black and white logo design.  Here were the four logo design concepts I presented to Veronica.

After looking over these initial designs there were only a few tweaks and ultimately she settled on:

Once the logo was chosen the next step was a business card design.  Right now Vee’s Bakeshop doesn’t have a website but you can find her on Instagram and see all of the sweet treats she’s baking!

KateOGroup Launches New Midway Hills Christian Church Website

KateOGroup teamed up with Emily Adams on Fire to give her church’s website a make over.  Emily having grown up in the church had a vision for the logo and branding, so we stepped in on the technical side of this website build.

One of the things that was the most fun about this site was the Revolution Slider we installed on the home page.  Not only does this slider function like your typical slider, but it also has moving parts.  The text on the slider image above slides in from both directions.  We didn’t need a very complex slider and there is a ton more that can be done with this plugin but to see what we did click here.

Moving the Midway Hills Christian Church website from a 1 & 1 website builder to WordPress was quite a task as this church has been around for over 60 years and has quite a history which resulted in a large amount of content for the site.  We incorporated quite a few plugins to bring the church’s website up-to-date and give them all of the functionality they were looking for.
