Medical Web Design: McLaughlin Cell Therapies

This medical web design and branding project for McLaughlin Cell Therapies was a collaboration with Live Creative Studio. It was great working with two extremely talented creatives, Claire and Haz.

Medical Services Web Design & Branding for McLaughlin Cell Therapies

Medical Web Design

Our goal with the website was to clearly explain to potential patients just what cell therapies are. Because this non-surgical approach to joint and back pain is still considered “experimental” not many people know what it is.

Using this bright color pallet throughout the website felt refreshing for a website in the medical field. Most medical websites are blue and green and this orange and red really stand out.

To help potential patients determine if this non-surgical technique could help with their back or joint pain we included a quick quiz that can be accessed from the home page.

Medical Services Web Design Home PAge

Because these cell therapies aim to put the healing power of your body to work so that you can get back to what you love to do. We incorporated movement into the site not only through imagery but through the actual movement of various elements throughout the site.

Real Estate Branding and Website Design: House and Home

Real estate branding for House and Home Real Estate was completed prior to the website design.

Kathy Corey is a realtor and broker in North Texas. She launched her own brokerage in 2017. For the design she wanted a clean logo and her one request was that we work a dragonfly into the design.

First step is always gathering design inspiration:

The color palette was a beautiful combination of navy and lime green. The navy represents sophistication while the green brings in a sense of fun. The combination of fonts is a continuation of this combination of formal and comfort.

Real Estate Branding

The final design includes both a handwritten font and a serif font. The serif font ads structure while the handwritten font adds relatability to the logo design. The little detail of the dragonfly can be included or omitted depending on where and when the logo is being used.

We incorporated the dragonfly into the business card design and the listing signs. How fabulous does this yard sign look?

Real Estate Website Design

The House and Home Real Estate WordPress Website allows visitors to easily search listings throughout North Texas and connect with Kathy. The design is clean and simple to keep the attention on home listings.

Author Web Design: John R. Paine

This author web design for John R. Paine is a project I feel honored to have worked on.

I met John when I was a junior in high school. Not long after his oldest daughter and I became fast friends.  Spending time at the Paine’s house is always so entertaining.

I can still remember the day, senior year of college, Amanda called to tell me that her dad had ALS. I had no idea what that was or exactly what that meant. She went on to tell me that John most likely had about 3-5 years to live.

Just over after 18 years after that phone call, John R. Paine, took on a new title: Author.

With the book release, he needed a website to serve as the hub for everything.

Author Web Design Project

Here is a look at a few of the interior pages on Author John R. Paine’s website:

A few years before the book came out a local organization, Fotolanthropy, did a documentary on John’s life. We, of course, wanted to be sure and include information about that on his website.

You can head to John R. Paine’s website to explore the site and find out even more about this remarkable man. There will be more information about this author web design project in the portfolio very soon.

Or, you can head to your favorite spot for buying books and purchase your own copy of The Luckiest Man!

Website Design: Roll eBike

The website design for Roll eBike was the first project I worked on with Claire Attkisson.  Since completing the Roll eBike website project Claire and I continue to work on additional website projects together.

Roll eBike is an Electric Bike Rental Business located in Durango, Colorado. Roll offers a variety of eBikes for rent to residents and visitors of Durango. eBikes are a great way to get outside and experience the town like a local!

Want to learn more about eBikes? Click here

On the home page of the website we use movement to help keep site visitors attention. Various text elements slide in or up and the images in the background scroll as you scroll through the page. With the focus of the site on electric bikes creating a sense of movement on the website felt like a necessary element of the design.

If you want to experience the movement on the website, visit the Roll eBike Website.

In addition to learning about eBikes, the site allows visitors to book their eBike rental for their trip quickly and easily from their phone, tablet or desktop.

At Roll eBike Renting is Easy

As you can see from above there are several bikes to choose from and you can rent the bike for as long as you need. I think it is so cool that there is a tandem bike available for rent talk about a fun and unique date idea!

I love when projects allow me to learn something new. Prior to working on this website design project I knew very little about eBikes. In addition to that, I also gained a friend and colleague in Claire. I can’t wait to share the details of our other projects with you. So stay tuned for that!

Nonprofit Branding + Website Design: ABLE Foundation

This nonprofit branding design for ABLE Foundation was such a labor of love.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with my friend Nicole on the brand and website design for the ABLE Foundation. It is so cool to know people who do really awesome things!

March 23, 2018, Nicole’s son Abe (13 months old) was hit by a car. He had skull fractures, a brain bleed, 7 broken ribs, damaged lungs, liver and spleen contusions and spent 22 days in the PICU. Miraculously, Abe survived. If you saw him on the playground you would have no idea all that he has gone through. To read more about the ABLE Foundation click here.

This fall, Nicole had the idea to start the ABLE Foundation to raise money to support other families with a child in the PICU and their caregivers. I had the privilege of working on both the brand and website design.

Nonprofit Branding Design

The ABLE Foundation is about kids and for kids, so I wanted the color palette to be fun and bright. I pulled together a few options for us to choose from:

I created several logo options and put each design in each color palette. Then the committee members voted on both the color and design.

brand and website design for ABLE Foundation by KateOGroup

Once the logo was chosen, I built the website so that we were able to sell tickets to the 1st Annual ABLE Foundation event on January 19, 2019.

In about two weeks all but about 30 tickets have been sold! If you’re local to the Dallas area and would like to attend, be a sponsor or donate click here to find out how. I can’t wait for this event and see how much money we raise!
